Due to continued growth Dales Surveying Ltd are looking to recruit several experienced multi-rotor drone/UAV pilots.

The successful candidates should have the following attributes:

• Current relevant PFCO or GVC licences, with experience operating UAV’s in a commercial environment.

• Experience with aerial surveys and photogrammetry/3D modelling is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided.

• Excellent attention to detail, high levels of organisation, and ability to communicate effectively as part of a remote team.

• Enthusiastic attitude, and a willingness and ability to learn new skills quickly.

• A desire to carve out your own role in a fast-moving, agile environment

• Sharp minded and proactive with a positive ‘can-do’ approach and the ability to adapt quickly.

This role will involve a lot of travelling, mainly within the UK, but occasionally overseas. The successful candidates can expect to be involved with varied survey types including fabric surveys, interactive panoramics, Line of Sight surveys and 3D modelling of both telecoms sites and buildings using both drones and LiDAR

The successful applicants should reside within commuting distance of either the Hawes, North Yorkshire or Faringdon, Oxfordshire offices.

The successful candidate will deal with the day to day information management within the company.

Daily duties to include:

Social Media development and website maintenance. Creating weekly plans for each team, updating trackers, transferring data, reading and understanding CAD drawings, booking hotels for the team. Aspects of the job will also include report drafting and completion. As such, knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications is essential.

Desired skills:

Good communication (both written and verbal) and IT skills, as well as the ability to work well both individually and as part of a team. Ability to adapt to varied situations.

The start date can be flexible and the salary negotiable (dependent upon experience), for the right candidate. No experience is necessary, but a ‘Can-do’ attitude and a willingness to learn is essential.

Office hours are 8am to 4pm with a 30-minute lunch break, Monday to Friday.

For the successful candidates, Dales Surveying Ltd will provide all necessary training, via a CAA approved ground school, in order to allow the successful candidate to obtain the required certification to fly drones commercially.

A large amount of travelling will be required, together with frequent nights away from home, and as such a driving licence is essential.

This role provides an ideal starting point for an enthusiastic individual, and there is real scope for career progression within the company.

Daily Duties to include:

Assisting qualified drone pilots whilst undertaking site surveys. Ensuring that surveys are undertaken safely, and in accordance with the relevant permissions; and, once qualified, undertaking surveys using the drones.

The start date is flexible, and the starting salary is negotiable.
